The basics
What is clitoroplasty?
The clitoris is the most sensitive part of the vulva and the main source of orgasm for many women. Direct contact during sex matters, so when it is buried under the hood or sits low under loose skin, stimulation can feel weaker.
Clitoroplasty works on the surrounding skin, not on the nerve-rich clitoris itself. Depending on your anatomy, your doctor may expose part of the clitoris, lift it, remove excess hood folds, or add support beneath it. The method is decided after an exam.
