Vaginal rejuvenation is an umbrella term for treatments that aim to improve vaginal looseness, dryness, sensation or mild urine leaks, from in-clinic laser and filler to tightening surgery. At Sinsoe Women's Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, a female OB-GYN examines you and explains which option matches your concern. Non-surgical choices include the MonaLisa Touch CO2 laser and Love Fill-up filler, while vaginoplasty is done in the clinic's own B2 surgery center. An English-speaking coordinator supports you throughout.
Vaginal rejuvenation is not one procedure. It is a group of treatments for changes in the vagina that often come with childbirth, hormones and age: a looser feel, dryness, less sensation during sex, or small leaks of urine.
The options fall into two groups. Non-surgical treatments, such as laser, filler and regenerative injections, work on the lining and volume of the vaginal wall with little downtime. Surgical treatment, called vaginoplasty, tightens the muscles and tissue directly and gives a lasting structural change.
Which is right depends on what bothers you most, how marked the change is, and how much recovery time you have. A good plan starts with an exam, not a menu.
This is a general guide. Your doctor's exam decides what is right for you.
| Your main concern | Options often considered |
|---|---|
| Mainly dryness | Laser is often the first choice. Filler or injections can be added. Hormone treatment may also help. |
| Mild looseness | Filler or laser, with pelvic floor exercises. Little or no downtime. |
| Marked looseness | Vaginoplasty usually gives the clearest, longest-lasting change. |
| Mild urine leaks | Laser or filler near the urethra may help. Pelvic floor training is important. |
| Low desire or pain | A full sexual health assessment first, as the cause may not be in the vaginal wall. |
Many women combine treatments, such as laser for dryness and filler for volume.
These can signal prolapse or another condition that needs a diagnosis before any cosmetic treatment.
Three broad routes are available at Sinsoe. Each has a different balance of downtime, strength of effect and how long it lasts.
A 360° fractional CO2 laser that encourages new collagen over a short course. See laser vaginal rejuvenation.
Dryness, tissue qualityLove Fill-up collagen filler adds volume in 10 to 15 minutes. Growth-factor and stem-cell injections aim to support tissue repair. See vaginal fillers.
Quick volume, no cuttingTightens the vaginal muscles and tissue for a lasting change. Done in the B2 surgery center. See vaginoplasty.
Marked laxity, lasting resultThe first visit is about understanding your concern. Treatment can be the same day for non-surgical options, or scheduled for surgery.
After laser or filler, most women go back to normal activities the same day and avoid sex for a few days to about a week. After vaginoplasty, recovery takes several weeks, and your doctor tells you when sex and exercise are safe again.
Every option has trade-offs. Here they are side by side.
Warmth, itching or discharge for a few days. Rarely burns or scarring. Evidence is promising but long-term data are limited, and the US FDA has warned against marketing energy devices for rejuvenation.
Swelling and soreness for a few days. Less often infection or a lump. Effects fade as the filler is absorbed.
Growth-factor and stem-cell injections have limited evidence. Your doctor explains what is known and unknown.
Pain, bleeding, infection, scarring and, rarely, pain during sex or a result that feels too tight. Choosing an experienced surgeon matters.
No treatment can promise a particular result. Your doctor may recommend a different approach, including pelvic floor therapy or hormone treatment.
Your choice may depend on how long you are in Seoul. Here is what to plan for.
You can do a full laser course or surgery with regular follow-up close to home.
Filler and single laser sessions fit a short trip. Surgery needs more time in Seoul before flying and a follow-up check.
These treatments are generally self-pay. Ask for an English receipt or medical certificate if you need one.

Neither is better for everyone. Non-surgical options suit mild concerns and dryness with little downtime. Surgery suits marked looseness and gives a lasting change. Your exam decides.
It depends on the treatment. The coordinator gives you an estimate after your consultation.
Yes, many women do. Laser works on tissue quality and dryness, while filler adds volume. Your doctor plans the order and timing.
Non-surgical treatments are usually fine. Many doctors advise waiting with surgery until you have finished having children, as a later vaginal birth can stretch the tissue again.
Some women report better sensation, but results vary. Desire and orgasm depend on many things, so your doctor may suggest a sexual health check too.
All options carry some risk. Laser and filler are minor procedures with short recovery. Surgery has the usual surgical risks. Your doctor explains them before you decide.
Laser is one non-surgical type. This page compares all options, while laser vaginal rejuvenation covers the MonaLisa Touch in detail.
